Your wedding or event should feel effortless. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions we get when planning music, hosting, and creating incredible dance floors across Canada. If you’re looking for something specific, just reach out — we’re always happy to help.

What regions do you serve?

We provide DJ, MC, and hosting services across Vancouver, Vancouver Island (Victoria + Nanaimo), Kelowna, Toronto, Ottawa, and Winnipeg, as well as surrounding areas.

 

We regularly perform at:

  • Weddings

  • Corporate events + galas

  • Fundraisers + cultural celebrations

  • Holiday parties

  • Private luxury events + milestone parties

If your event is outside these locations, we can prepare a custom travel quote.

How do you match us with the right DJ?

Every DJ has their own musical lane, personality, and style.
So instead of rotating whoever’s “available,” we curate the match.

We look at:

  • The event vibe

  • Your music taste

  • Guest age range + energy level

  • Venue style + room flow

  • Cultural or group considerations

  • Your preference for low-key, warm professional, or hype & engaging DJ presence
     

You’ll know who your DJ is well in advance — no surprises, no last-minute swaps unless there’s an emergency.

Do your DJs also MC?

Some of our DJs are excellent MCs — polished, natural, and confident without being cheesy. Others specialize strictly in DJing and musical atmosphere.

We offer three levels of hosting, depending on what feels right:

  1. Standard MC Service (Add-On)
    Your DJ handles key announcements, introductions, and timeline transitions — clean, smooth, and not overly “performy.”
     

  2. Professional MC Package
    For events that need more presence and coordination (corporate programs, formal receptions, cultural ceremonies).
     

  3. Entertainment Host (Separate Role)
    This is not the DJ — this is a dedicated host who interacts with guests, leads games, builds crowd engagement, and carries the social energy of the room.

    Ideal for:

    • Corporate galas

    • Family-focused receptions

    • High-energy celebrations

    • Events needing lots of personality
       

We’ll help you choose the right hosting style before booking, so no expectations are mismatched later.

Do you help with music planning?

Yes — this is a core part of what makes the night feel like you.
 

Once booked, every client receives:

  • A guided Music Planning Questionnaire

  • Collaborative vibe-mapping (no need to know exact songs)

  • Custom edits included for key moments (first dance, intros, transitions, cultural rituals)

  • Curated music for:

    • Ceremonies

    • Cocktail / networking hours

    • Dinner / reception atmosphere

    • Dance floor open + peak flow

    • Any unique moment your event needs
       

We don’t use “stock playlists”. We build your soundtrack around identity, energy, and flow.

Can we request specific songs or genres?

​Absolutely. You can be as hands-on or as hands-off as you want.
 

You’re welcome to send:

  • Must-plays

  • Do-not-plays

  • Favorite artists/eras/genres

  • Playlists that capture your vibe
     

And if you’re not sure what you want yet — that’s totally fine. We’ll guide you through it.

How do you handle ceremony or presentation sound?

For vows, speeches, officiants, presentations, awards, and stage moments — clarity matters more than volume.

We provide:

  • Wireless handheld microphones (more reliable than lapel mics outdoors)

  • Speaker placement optimized for clarity — not blasting

  • Smooth cue transitions handled by a human, not a playlist
     

Your guests should feel included — not straining to hear.

What equipment do you bring?

Every event includes professional-grade sound and a clean, polished setup — no messy cables, no “DJ in the corner with random gear” energy.
 

Our standard setup includes:

  • Premium speakers sized appropriately for your venue

  • Wireless handheld microphone(s) for speeches, toasts, officiants, and announcements

  • Dance floor lighting to create warmth, depth, and movement once the party starts

  • Tripod stand covers and cord management so your setup looks intentional and clean

  • All DJ mixing equipment + curated digital music library
     

We hide cables, tape down wires for safety, and keep the setup visually smooth so it blends into your décor instead of distracting from it.

 

What about DJ booths and tables?

Most venues already provide a table + linen.

We coordinate with your venue ahead of time to confirm:

  • Table + linen placement

  • Power access

  • Load-in path and timing

  • Any venue sound restrictions or preferred zones
     

If your event requires a freestanding DJ booth, upgraded lighting, subwoofers, or multi-room audio setups — we’ll go over those options during planning.

What about DJ booths and tables?
